Customer service
Virtually all of our customers speak with our Customer Service team at one time or another. We can help you with pretty much any topic - from providing information about our services, to answering general questions about your investments or your accounts.
Some topics might be more involved - corporate actions can be quite complex for instance - so other colleagues might be better placed to give you more details. If we don't have the answer ourselves we'll explain your query to the right person for you to speak with, then pass you through to them. That way, we'll try our hardest to avoid you having to repeat the same details.

Advice
We're here to share our knowledge and experience with you: it's free,
so do use us as much as you want.
We can give you our views on UK shares and investment trusts, talk through your own ideas with you, or even explain some of the different investment strategies you could use.
We also provide much of the information you'll see in the Research section, in The Shareholder magazine and in the Learn section too; so if you've questions or comments about that, do give us a call.

Dealing
It's pretty likely that, at some time, you'll speak with one of us. Even when you prefer to use our simple, online dealing service, we're working behind the scenes to make sure your order is dealt quickly and efficiently. And there are some shares or funds that can't be dealt online - we look after those orders for you.
You can also call us for latest prices, to change price limits or to check on the latest position with any outstanding certificate sales or limit orders.

Corporate Actions
If the shares you hold are subject to a change, such as a takeover, merger or change in their structure, we'll handle it for you.
Once the details are known we'll write to you, telling you about the proposal, pointing out your options and asking for your instructions. And, of course, we'll do our very best to keep you informed and up-to-date.

Support services
Our support services teams cover a number of areas, from finance, to information technology, marketing, HR and compliance. All are important areas for us because they help us ensure we give you the best possible service, all of the time. And, if there is a problem, they help us put things right as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Even if you never need to speak with us, you can be sure we're here, working hard in the background to make it easy for you to share in the wealth of the stock market.
